That Damn Hobo


No one from this area would know that his entire family had died in that fire. He tried to save them, his wife, children, and even his dog but they all perished, he arrived too late. He couldn’t handle the pain and grief, so he just left and wandered the countryside. His Mama worried about him constantly. Had someone bothered to ask him . . .

The photos and stories are synchronized. To preserve personal history, my hope is that the anonymous photo and story from a different family will keep the stories of our past vibrant and not let these folks to fade away.
